Part 2 — Open cloze

8 gaps, ONE word each. Grammar words: articles, prepositions, pronouns, auxiliaries, linkers.

Part 3 — Word formation

8 gaps. Change the CAPITAL root word to fit (noun/verb/adj/adv, sometimes negative).

Part 4 — Key-word transformations

6 items: rewrite a sentence using a GIVEN key word without changing the meaning. 2–5 words including the key word.

Part 5 — Multiple choice (long text)

6 four-option questions on a longer text: detail, opinion, attitude, inference, reference.

Part 6 — Gapped text

6 sentences removed from a text; 7 to choose from (one extra). Fit them back in.

Part 7 — Multiple matching

10 questions matched to sections of a text (or short texts). Sections may match more than once.

Part 1 — Essay (140–190 words)

Compulsory. Discursive essay based on a title, two given points and a THIRD point of your own.

Part 2 — Choice task (140–190 words)

Choose ONE: article, email/letter, review, or report. Task specifies audience and purpose.

Part 1 — Multiple choice (8 short extracts)

8 short unrelated extracts; one 3-option question each on gist, function, opinion or feeling.

Part 2 — Sentence completion

10 gaps in sentences to complete with a word or short phrase from a monologue.

Part 3 — Multiple matching

5 short monologues on a theme; match each speaker to one of 8 statements (3 extras).

Part 4 — Multiple choice (interview)

7 three-option questions on a longer interview: detail, opinion, attitude, gist.

Part 1 — Interview (~2 min)

Examiner asks personal questions: work/studies, free time, future plans, likes/dislikes.

Part 2 — Long turn (1 min each, compare 2 photos)

Compare two photos and answer a question about them; then a short reaction to your partner's photos.

Part 3 — Collaborative task (~3 min)

With your partner, discuss 5 prompts around a central question; then reach a decision (1 min).

Part 4 — Discussion (~4 min)

Examiner asks broader opinion questions linked to Part 3 theme.
